Paula Berner, BS, CMD, FAAMD, has been a medical dosimetrist for over 30 years. For the past 24 years, Paula worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, with the Brachytherapy Services Group as an expert medical dosimetrist. Paula has been active in medical dosimetry education, teaching medical dosimetry students, medical physics students, radiation oncology residents and fellows. She has been active with the AAMD since 1999 when she began working with the Education Committee. Paula served as co-chair of that committee from 2007 – 2014. She has served as AAMD President and was one of the initial incorporators of the AAMD Education and Research Foundation. In 2014 Paula was honored to be elected as an AAMD Fellow. Paula retired from MD Anderson in 2017, but still remains active in medical dosimetry educational programs and continues to volunteer with the AAMD.
